SALES & EXCHANGE POLICIES

Transparency & Ethics:

The price of integrity at Threaded Root, we operate outside the standard fashion model. Our pricing reflects a commitment to ethical standards that often exceed Western norms.

We strive to keep our pieces accessible because we believe everyone should have the chance to support conscious craft. However, when you purchase an In-House piece, you are investing in:

  • Fair Livelihoods: We pay our artisans according to the market value for their work. This ensures financial security and stability for their families.
  • Cultural Preservation: Your support helps protect ancient knowledge so, it can be passed down to the next generation.
  • Community Growth: You are directly contributing to the development of artisan societies.
  • Craft Over Speed: We are driven by bold ideas, but we are grounded in patience. Every design takes hours of painstaking work to perfect.
  • Collaborative Process: Working with rural crafts presents unique design challenges. We adapt our techniques to suit the craft, not the other way around.
  • The Human Touch: We prioritize transparency. Because our resources are limited, we constantly listen to your feedback to refine our work. We ask for your patience and understanding that true craft cannot be rushed.

The Beauty of Imperfection. Please read before purchasing:

  • Our In-House pieces are proudly handcrafted, with a special focus on embroidery and weaving. Because human hands create these garments, not machines, you may    notice small markings or stencil traces. Slight fabric pulls or variations in the weave. These are not defects. They are the fingerprints of the process and a sign of authenticity. Our stance on "Flaws": We do not ask our artisans to redo work for minor aesthetic variances, as this causes them significant financial loss. Therefore, we do not accept returns based on handmade imperfections. We ask that you join us in appreciating the nature of slow, intentional craft.

Note: In the rare event of genuine damage (tears/functional defects), we will review the item and may offer a partial discount. This discount is covered by Threaded Root; the artisan retains their full payment.

  • Small Batch Production & Shipping: We do not follow the "fast fashion" calendar. To respect our artisans' time and prevent waste, we hold very limited quantities of each style.
  • In Stock: If the item is ready, we ship it out immediately.
  • Restocking: If a size or style sells out, we can often remake it for you. However, because this involves handcrafted work by our artisan partners, production will require extra time.

Patience is Key: We appreciate your understanding that high-quality, ethical fashion takes time to create.

  • Returns & Cancellations: All sales are final due to the limited nature of our batches and our commitment to ethical production, we do not accept cancellations or returns.
  • Exchanges: We want you to be happy with your piece. If you need to exchange an item for a different size (subject to stock availability): Please contact us to initiate a return of your current item. Once the return is accepted, you may make a separate purchase for the new item.

Thank you for supporting a kinder, fairer fashion industry.
